4TH ANNUAL TASTE OF HAITI
SATURDAY, MAY 14 MIAMI
The Haitian Culinary Alliance, in collaboration with the Office of Chairman Jean Monestime, Miami-Dade District 2, the City of North Miami, the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami, the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and the Little Haiti Optimist Club, is excited to announce the upcoming event for the fourth annual Taste of Haiti. Following the success of the 3 years prior, Taste of Haiti has become a major community event in South Florida and the city of north Miami. This event showcases culinary delights native to the Haitian culture. Featuring some of the top culinary professionals and restaurants in the community, fans will enjoy a food event with similar characteristics to other major food festivals in the United States. On Saturday, May 14, 2016, food lovers across South Florida are invited to attend Taste of Haiti.
This event will be held at the MOCA Plaza, located at 770 NE 125th Street, Miami, FL 33161, admission is FREE to the general public. This outdoor event, taking place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., will be filled with various food vendors displaying creative takes on native dishes, as well as activities for the entire family. The top chef CookOff also comes back for its 4th Edition bringing some fierce competitors and cooking demonstrations, by celebrity trainer The Naked Chef Jacques Laventure and Star of the hit television series on PBS Taste of Island with Chef Irie. We will also be joined by our very own Celebrity Chef Judges Ron Duprat from Bravo TV Top Chef, Chef Amadeus from Extreme Chef and the Queen of Haitian Media Elizabeth Guerin. Dj Nicky Mix, the official DJ of the festival for the past 3 years will be joined by host, Haitian Poet Mecca aka Grimmo for the second time this year with his beautiful co-host Brown Sugar.
