IMG_7789

Tuesday September 11th, 2001 is a day the world and most importantly America will never forget. if you ask anyone in the United States who were alive on that horrible day were they were, I’m sure you will receive an answer with specific time detail. Today, the memories of 9/11 brings pain yet individuals in the United States made it on to remember for their heroic acts .

As for me, I clearly remember being on my way to work and heard the news on the radio. I said to myself, this newscaster’s clearly exaggerating because there is absolutely no way for this horrific act to happen. I was about 5 minutes away from my destination. At the time I worked for nation retailer of electronics, upon arriving in the store , all the other employees were glued to all 30 plus TV’s which were all tuned into the major news network reporting the what we all thought was an accident. At 9:00am the doors opened for customers and the store did not see not even one customer that day. 3 minutes later at 9:03 am , as we all witness  the second plane hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center which made us all realized that the first plane hitting the North Tower was no accident. Followed by the attack on the Pentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania.

That day brought a lot of tears most of all it brought solidarity to the City of New York, it was felt and seen throughout the rest of the country. Just about every nation lost a someone in tragedy of 9/11.According to Statisticbrain.com there were 7 victims of Haitian descent who lost their lives during the attack.

The togetherness and unity of 9/11 was to main drive who kept survivors and families of victims with the motivation to positively move forward. The day is memorable for many reason, as for me, I will never forget…
