Haitian Woman in Business : Roodelyne Jean Baptiste

Roodelyne Jean Baptiste

Roodelyne Jean Baptiste was inspired to start RSocks is a company that makes it a point to provide a rare combination of fashion and function through a wonderful item that is an up-and-comer in the fashion industry: Socks! As a stylist, she saw the many ways socks were changing her inspiration for photo shoot looks, and realized how underplayed they were. She took her love of colors, business knowledge, and marketing skills, and combined them with the pattern.

Roodelyne in Business as She Knows it

Running my own Business was never a long time plan for me but a calling. I paid attention to my passion, and made sure to follow through.

The challenge of owning/running and doing business internationally is a challenge – we produce over seas and so the stakes are high. I am always on top of productions and make sure we are up to date with the latest market trends.

Why Support Haitian Owned Businesses?

Supporting each other as Haitian owned business is crucial, I do believe that we are each other’s life line. In today’s age supporting a small business that is taking a great amount of leap to be and stay successful in the mass media in a multi billion dollar industry such as RSocks is just phenomenal and we pride ourselves in that.
